Pancoast tumor, also known as superior sulcus tumor, refers to a relatively uncommon situation where a primary lung cancer arises in the lung apex and invades the surrounding soft tissues.
In this case, patient was treated by left upper lobectomy en-bloc with 1st, 2nd, 3rd rib and mediastinal radical linfoadenectomy. Chest wall reconstruction was made by methyl-methacrylate sandwich prosthesis. Final pathologic findings showed an adenocarcinoma pT3N0, R0.
